Gaudí

“Nothing is invented, because Nature has already written everything.”

Brilliant architect associated with Art Nouveau (or Modern Style), Antoni Gaudí (1852-1926) was born in Reus, Catalonia and marked Barcelona, but also many other Spanish sites with his organic fantastic constructions. A proponent of total art, Gaudí conceived everything from architecture to the door knob. He first grew up in the cult of the Gothic Revival before giving free rein to his imagination, inspired by Nature and geometry. His Works are now part of UNESCO World Heritage sites.
